1) I'm just curious if there's an ETA on when or if a subdomain structure will be implemented into ISPConfig? I noticed it was mentioned in the Roadmap some time in the past... 2) When upgrading to a new version of ISPConfig, can we just use the update utility in the management section? Or are there specific steps that must be followed? 3) When using the backup tool to create backups and upload them to another server, are the sites turned off until the backup/upload to the other server has completed? Or do they remain active and accessible throughout the process? 4) Where could one go to make a donation to the team of ISPConfig for their great software package?
What do you mean with subdomain structure? Maybe you mean Co-Domains? Take a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2857&highlight=update+manager They remain accessible. Please write a PM to till.
Referring to subdomains, I meant a method to setup subdomains where it creates subdomain.domain.tld and sets that up instead of forwarding to a folder within the document root...
You just need to create a new site. Not a co-domain then. That will give you a separate folder. So create two separate sites: www.domain.tld and sub.domain.tld.
Interesting, and how do I get the DNS entries to start working for that sub.domain.tld? What do I do to add its dns properly?
