https://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-debian-10-buster-apache-bind-dovecot-ispconfig-3-1/ Can you please put an introduction or some form of revision info on every new post, so we can know what has changed from the last post about the same perfect server? That way we will maybe change something in our recent installation, that you have found can be change and its useful or buggy. PS: We love the new quota and mail color animated bars in dashboard Best Regards
For future upgrades I had the idea to write a guide "How to upgrade your ISPConfig setup from Debian 10 to Debian 11" with the needed steps listed.
Didnt want to open a new post, but can you please give me any suggestion for my brand new problem, just this second. After using the migrate tool, i can't create a new website. In the Website tab(add a new website) the Client field is missing (i cant choose a client for the website - i have several clients on the server) and the domain field for the new and of the previous websites is a select dropdown field , but empty (and not he plain text field to insert the name of the domain). Have you heard about something like this? what suggestion do you have for this behavior?
It doesn't let me input the domain name. I tried with inspector to add the field manually in the form but its say "Domain is empty"
You have the domain module enabled. If you want to let the domain be be a open field instead of a dropdown, disable it under System -> Main config -> Domains. Or add the domains you want to use under Client -> Add domain
You probably need to add domains under Client > Domains, or disable domain control under System > Main Config > Domains
You were both right Th0m and Jesse, but i never purposely activated those options. Are these options activated by default in 3.2.2 or were they in this case only, activated by the migrate plugin? 1. System config > Mail > Allow custom login name 2. System config > Domains > Use the domain limits in client module to add new domains
They are not activated by default and the migration tool should not enable them. Can you share more information about the source and target system?
The migration tool activates the domain limits, that#s required for a successful migration, but it also deactivates it at the end of the migration. if the mode was not disabled automatically, then your web server was probably down after migration so that the tool was unable to reach the API at the end of the migration.
Hi Till, thanks for joining in, It was 'only' mail migration from cpanel, as the website was allready on ISPC on another server. It activated the 2 mentioned in the previous post options. Maybe you should include a check when we are transferring the mail and the website is not transferring, to finish the appropriate settings to default!? Regards
The real source was an shared cPanel, but they were not cooperative about ssh and rsync. So i then installed a blank cPanel on our proxmox, then transfer the whole account from their shared hosting with the cpanel transfer tool, and then used the migration from out cpanel to the blank ISPC 3.2.2
It does not matter what you transfer or from which panel, the migration tool tries to deactivate the domain mode, so it stays only on when this fails. And in such a case, all you have to do is to deactivate it yourself under System > Interface config.
