    ello everyone.

I have a server installed freebsd in which sendmail is installed.
Currently I have made installing a debian wheezy 7 with apache, dovecot, postfix and ispconfig3 server.

Needed to migrate emails from clients from the server that is located in the new freebsd server.

    This migration can be done?

What steps should be followed to migrate the mails.

thank you very much hope your help

You want to migrate from ispconfig to freebsd or from freebsd to ispconfig? Which mailbox storage format does your freebsd server use?

ispconfig uses maildir as well. The ispconfig maildir heirarchy is like this:

    /var/vmail/domain.tld/user/Maildir/

you should be able to copy over the whole maildirs to ispconfig after you created the mailboxes in ispconfig. then chown all files and folders in the maildir to user and group vmail.

This is not ispconfig specific and depends on the user email client and the settings choosen in that email client.

This does not depend on postfix or ispconfig. It depends on the email client (outllok, thnderbird, etc..) that you use. Most Clients accept the .Sent folder as default, othrs like Outlook tend to create a new folder in the native language of the used Windoes operating system.
