Hello, I have installed ubuntu 8.04 LTS Server and it restarts and i am locked in the textmode/console. I tried using startx but i got the message "the program "startx' is currently not installed. You cab installed it by typing : sudo apt-get install xinit". i issued the command and got "couldn't find package xinit". can someone assist me in setting up the graphical mode or steps to follow to get the package installed via usb, etc. Thanks George
