Hi, I have installed fedora core 6 (following the LAMP guide) and then put ISPconfig onto it. At first SMTP would telnet fine using 'telnet localhost 25'... However now that I have ISPConfig installed and fiddling around a bit I now notice that in ISPconfig it says that BIND / Postfix services are offline. So i checked by using telnet and all other services connect on localhost except 25 / 53. Assuming it would make no difference but not knowing what else to do i replaced localhost with '127.0.0.1' and it worked! Im almost pulling my hair out haha! Any ideas? p.s im very new to linux, incase this is an easy fix! Would appreciate any help you can offer...
