Very much a newb here attempting to learn on the fly and using the Perfect Server Ubuntu 8.04 guide to get a website up and running on a linode vps. I used the available 8.04 image on Linode and began following the instructions on page 3 of the guide. At the bottom of page 5 I'm told to But I'm getting the telnet command not found error. Did I miss something along the way for this to happen? Or am I an idiot missing something even more obvious Help will be greatly appreciated.
thank you! i figured it was something like that. i actually had searched "install ubuntu telnet" on google prior to posting the question but found apt-get install telnetd Not sure what that did, but it didn't work. Thank you Falko for the help.
