    The setup instructions for a vps are the same then for a server. Just skip the first chapters so that you start with chapter 5.

    Please my friends
    I'd like to ask for your advise ... for a VPS which distribution I should use for the long run?
    I do not know about linux a lot and I do not have a background experience in linux and never used it before.
    Please advise as I want to start to work but it will be in my own.
    Thanks a lot :)

    note: the reason is that I am asking because I keep reading about many reviews for centos and many others for debian and I do not know which one to pick.

    Debian for its stability, the best package manager, and because we develop ISPConfig on it. :)

    We use Debian to develop ISPConfig on it.
