    Hi all,

    after installing CentOS 5.0 I had problems to run "yum update". I always got an error message "temporary failure in name resolution" !

    I've googled for a lot of hours and found a hint under: http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=7843&forum=37 !!!

    I you use a static IP-Address and you also have problems to run the command "# yum update" then try adding your dns server ip to /etc/resolv.conf

    For example:

    nameserver 192.168.0.1
