Hello, I have a strange problem and I know this is not ThunderBird support but I thought to give it a try. One of my clients has a mailbox 17 GB big and lately he's been having problems with ThunderBird, saying 'The server disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a network problem'. Mail get sent but it don't get saved in the Sent' folder. When using webmail (roundcube) there is no problem at all. All the other mail users on the same server have no issues at all. What could it be? The server, of course, being ISPconfig.
Did you check your logfiles? You can try to increase mail_max_userip_connections and restart dovecot afterwards
Could you please tell me where to look for logs and where to increase mail_max_userip_connections? Edit: Nevermind, I just added: Code: mail_max_userip_connections = 50 at the end of /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf and restarted Dovecot. I first went for 20, but then increased it to 50, just to be sure. Seems to be working fine for now. Thank you! I just read about statistics plugin for Dovecot here: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Statistics Could you, please, tell me how to configure it?
Actually no. I'm not sure if the user is 'vmail' or something like 'ispconfig_vmail'. And, most important, I don't know where to start, what file should I edit.
The email user on an ispconfig system is vmail. I did not use this plugin so I cant tell you more then what's written on their page.
