Hi guys. Just set up Fedora Core 7 (64 bit) on a Toshiba A200-AH9 laptop. Totem won't play DVDs. I've tried installing libdvdcss (r1.2.9) from rpm; the library appears in /usr/lib64, but totem still gives me a "you do not have the appropriate plugin" message whenever I put in a DVD. I've tried a region-free movie DVD, and get the same message. Can anyone suggest something to try? - like a way to test whether totem is finding the library, or figuring out whether my totem version is 32 or 64 bit? Also, xine player works with the same DVD.. Any suggestions are appreciated. Andrew.
It's quite common that Totem is making problems while Xine is working. I'd simply use Xine instead of Totem.
