I've been searching in almost every message in the forum and in manual, but I could not find anything about this What does client traffic quota really limit?: Only Web traffic or Web traffic + mail traffic? Looking at /usr/local/ispconfig/server/cron_daily.php, it seems is only web traffic, but I'm not 100% sure. Because of this I know FTP traffic is not accounted yet, but as mail traffic is, shouldn't it be added to web traffic? That was the behaviour of ISPConfig 2, and it seems logical to me.
I'm sorry I've found the answer just now. Traffic quota is only for web traffic So it would be great if it was mentioned in the manual. Any reason why e-mail traffic is not added? Should I open a wish in bugtrack or is not possible/planned to implement it? I have some clients with almost no web traffic, but with a lot mail traffic, that's why I'm so interested in this...
Email traffic is only available in courier setups, on systems that use dovecot traffic is not monitored as dovecot is anot able to write the traffic statistics to a log file. You can make a feature request in the bugtracker if you like. But I guess that it will not be added until we found a good way to even monitor the mail traffic on all supported mta's.
