I've enabled quota's in fstab using the option usrquota and now when rebooting Fedora 7, it's hung at "Mounting Local Filesystems:". I'm guessing there is a process that xfs must go through to enable user quotas on the filesystem but it's been working at it for over an hour.

The volumn size is 4TB, is using xfs and has about 300GB used by many,many,many..many files.

Should I expect this long of a wait?

    Thanks for any assistance,

    Thanks for the reply

Turns out that if there are that many files, it's going to take a while for the os to go through all of the user/files. I our case, it took about 3hours on a 3Ghz machine using a fiber channel.

    Go figure..

    Thanks again!
