two dns master zones

Let's say I have two ISPConfig servers and I've registered a domain, say, domain.com, that I want to host on one of the servers.

Usually I would just make a primary (master) dns zone on one of the servers, and on the second server I would just make a slave (secondary) zone where I would just state the IP of the first name server holding the DNS master zone.

BUT. Will it be OK to make TWO master zones, that is, to make a master zone on each server? Will it be against the rules or not?

It is ok, but why do you want to double your work?

Thank you for your reply, naturally I wouldn't dream of doubling the work without any reason.

The reason is that the two ISPConfig servers are connected to two totally different ISPs, and strangely enough there is this situation:

    - All DNS Master Zones are on Server1, and all DNS Slave Zones are on Server2
    - From Server1 I can reach all sites on Server2 and I can ping the nameserver on Server2
    - From Server2 I CAN'T reach any sites on Server1 and I CAN'T ping the nameserver on Server1

So when I make a change in DNS records in a Master Zone, the changes are not propagated to the corresponding Slave Zone.

I really don't know why this happens, host-tracker.com shows that the sites on Server1 are accessible worldwide.

Sounds like a routing problem. Have you asked the ISP support guys about this?
