Hi, I have installed Suse11.3 and ISPConfig3 All is going well, two things that I have not been able to resolve yet. I have the manual.pdf but have can pick up the answers. I think I will get it printed and bound next week. Question 1. Once The domain has resolved, should I be able to ftp to the site using the domain name instead of using the internal IP address. Question 2. Once I have setup the server and mail server, should I be able to put the mail down with Windows Live Mail. Cheers Ron
Yes. Never used Windows Live Mail, but isn't this a mail service like Gmail? You can use an email client such as Thunderbird or Outlook to access your emails.
Another Question on Suse 11.3 ISPConfig3 I have added 6 domains to USER1 all good, can ftp to site. now to question, When I add more domains in exactly the same way as the first 6 I can not get an ftp connection. Is there a preferred sequence of adding; WEBSITE DNS FTP MAIL-SERVER to ensure smooth operation I know I am missing something but I am not sure what. Cheers Ron
Windows live mail works fine for any pop mail account as well as hotmail etcetera. I use it here on my windows 7 box for all my pop mail accounts. Yes you can use it with ISPC setup email.
