    Hi all,
    1. How can I determine whether an email server uses Amavis and/or rspamd? Can it use both? Does it make sense?

    2. Spam filter
    The following approaches, among others, can be used to configure the spam filter:
    • Spam filter -> Policy
    • Email accounts -> Domain
    • Email accounts -> Email mailbox
    • Spam filter -> User / Domain
    If a policy is entered in the domain (for domain.com) and the email mailbox ([email protected]) contains ‘- Inherit domain setting -’, this results in two entries under ‘Spam filter -> User / Domain’:
    1. Priority 5 for ‘@domain.com’ with the policy selected for (domain.com)
    2. Priority 7 for ‘- Inherit domain setting -’ for the email mailbox ([email protected])
    My question: If the second entry is missing/deleted, is the spam filter for ([email protected]) deactivated?
    Another one: Which priority is higher, 5 or 7 ?
    On more: If both patterns do matching - are both policies applied in the sequence of the priority?

    The question relates to the fact that these entries are not automatically created under ‘Relay domains’ and ‘Email relay recipient’ because the corresponding settings are not provided there.
    Or do the spam filter policy and user/domain and greylisting settings generally not apply to ‘Relay domains’ at all?

    Best regards

    And one follow up:
    What is the meaning of the option "Local: Yes/No" @ form "Spamfilter users" (Spam filter -> User / Domain) ?

    1) You could e.g. vheck with:

    ps aux | grep amavis
    ps aux | grep rspamd

    To see which Spam filter is being used. All recent setups are using Rspamd. You can not use Rspamd together with Amavis.

    2) The database entry is the spamfilter. And it gets deleted when you delete the mailbox or email domain.
    If you want a filter for relay domains, you must manually add it. You might also want to take a loon into the iSPConfig manual for more details on the spamfilter settings.

    You must set local to yes if you want emails to be filtered.
