Two (sub)domains under same user - document root

    Hi there.

I was not able to find any answers, so hopefully somebody can help me here.

    Scenario:
domain1.tld has document root in /var/www/clients/client1/web1/web/admin
subdomain1.domain1.tld has document root in /var/www/clients/client1/web1/web/subdomain

Is this possible via ispconfig? how?
I can achieve this with one manual vhost file, but I'm looking for solution via panel.

If I create these two as websites, i could adjust documentroot variable in the options apache directives & adjust openbasedir- but then I have problems with permissions where website domain1.tld runs e.g. under web1 and subdomain under web2, so a lot of hassle there. They are in the same group client1, but still.

    Any ideas? Thanks

Use a vhost subdomain, it lets you set the web folder.

Where is that exactly? If I either try to create alias/subdomain - option tab is completely blank for me on both and there is no option to adjust document root.

You need to enable the 'Create subdomains as web site' setting in System > Main Config (there's also one for alias domains), then the menu option will be present.

Thanks. This can be closed, all clear.
