I want to setup Typo3 version 4 on my server; some clients like to use this as their CMS. There are different possibilities to setup this, as there are dummy files and quickstart files. I have read some threads in this forum and also in the Typo3 INSTALL.txt file. I have a Debian system with ISPConfig installed, for this reason I really do not know where I have to put the Typo3 packages. Right now I have downloaded the source package and the dummy package. The dummy package is installed in /var/www/web1/web/ I do not know what the recommended directory is for the Typo3 source files. I also do not know how to check the symlink pointing to the source. Can anyone who has experience with setting up Typo3 i.c.m. ISPConfig give me some advise ?
