The Release candidate is available, has any testing been started and if so then when could we expect an update?
No, we will start the implementation when the final Ubuntu version is released as we always do. The time needed for testing depends on how much needs to be changed, so this can not be calculated upfront. It's not recommended to start installing production systems with a new major release of a distribution right after it's release anyway.
