    hi,

I had installed ubuntu 6.06 with ispconfig 2.2.8. So far the server is working.

My setup is: INTERNET to ROUTER to NETWORK (1 server and 5 workstation)

The server is all ispconfig offers (web, ftp, email, dns, etc) with LAN ip set as 192.168.1.1. Router is configured in accept incoming and direct to 192.168.1.1

For the 5 Windows workstations, the DNS is set to 192.168.1.1 to be able to access the server directly.

Question: how to setup BIND DNS server of ubuntu wherein if workstation what to surf other sites, the ubuntu server can do dns service forwarding via other dns server?

Your DNS server server can resolve the DNS requests of your clients out of the box, normally there is no additional configuration nescessary.

The nameservers are listed in /etc/resolv.conf.
