I have many problems, I have tried installing BIND and had no luck with it starting and working

Surprisingly i have a postfix setup working.

Currently I am using EveryDNS.net for my dns settings. I have the availability of 2 IP addresses, my work IP and my house IP that I have linux boxes on. Also I have read that I can cheat and use 1 IP for my 2 DNS addresses.

what I am really looking for is an idiot proof install directions for installing BIND and postfix with multiple domains, with spam protection.

My work currently has a postini setup where we receive 3000+ spam messages a day that it blocks, and some slip by. I am in a position of saving us alot of money as long as i can setup a reliable email server. Plus I can buy additional IP addresses as needed from our T1 provider.

If someone here has a good feedback I would not be opposed to letting you SSH into my box and see if theres some setting im missing or can configure correctly to make it work.

Right now I am using Webmin, I like the interface but I would like something that lets me more easily add domains and set directories I have no problem doing it in webmin its fairly easy but something like ISPConfig I Have heard and read about but not used. What does everyone use 1 both or none?

will running both mess with things?

One of my biggest problems was getting postfix running, but now it wont login using outlook and i dont know why??

it just keeps prompting for my password.

and has a error saying. Please verify that port and SSL information is correct.

    any help would be appreciated.

I'm using ISPConfig (+BIND) and MyDNSConfig (+MyDNS) for managing my nameservers. You can find some tutorials here: http://www.howtoforge.com/taxonomy_menu/1/8

Any errors in your mail log? Are you using SSL/TLS for sending emails?
