Ubuntu 7.10 server hostname,DNS server, and mailserver questions.

If I want to use a dyndns.com address can I and do I still need to install Bind9? Also if I use a dyndns.com address then what should I put instead of server1.example.com as shown in the guide? Also, do you need to register anything for the mailserver to work or do anything extra?

 

Or could someone give me a link to somewhere where I can find the information I need? By the way the guide I talked about can be found here: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_server_ubuntu7.10 It is titled The Perfect Server - Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon (Ubuntu 7.10).
