Im not sure if this is the right place for this post, but here goes im pretty new to linux and so far I love it. I do have a few problems which im slowly resolving. But there is one problem I just cant seem to get rid of. Code: Setting up timidity (2.13.2-19ubuntu1) ... ...fail! invoke-rc.d: initscript timidity, action "start" failed. dpkg: error processing timidity (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: timidity E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) I get this error everytime I use apt-get to remove, update, install. I also get it when I use add/remove program and synaptic. I did manage to remove timidity eventually just to find out I need it with a game I kinda love playing So I installed timidity again and I am getting these errors again. I've tried a number of things including: synaptic package manager -> edit -> fix broken packages and Code: sudo dpkg --configure -a sudo apt-get install -f ANY help would be welcome I didnt get a single reply on the ubuntuforums so i tought i'd try here
