Ok, I have a little question. I have a 20" apple iMac from 2006 with a broken screen. at the minute, it's still functioning via an exteral moniter, with the aid a of a program called ultraMon (in windows). Now, I wanted to install ubuntu, either via Live CD or Wubi, but here's the catch.

The iMac's internal screen is still active, and still set as the primary moniter, and can't be turned off, but is cracked beyond repair, and I don't have $770 for a new panel, nor do I have money for a new pc. So, is there anyway to install ubuntu, and set up X.org/X11 to ONLY display on my secondary screen, and to ignore the internal, hard-wired screen?

Just to note, the external screen is a 19" LG (1440x900) connected via a Mini-DVI to DVI adapter/cable, and the internal screen is a 20" (1680x1050) LCD

I guess you'd have to modify the Device section of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
