Quick question, should I use the Ubuntu 8.04 perfect server setup to install ISPConfig 3 or should I use version 3's installation instructions only? Thanks.

Hey guys, not trying to intentionally bump a post, but I just need to know if the perfect server setups for a dedicated server are still valid for ISPConfig 3. Thanks.

That guide is for ISPConfig 2 only. Please use the installation instructions for ISPConfig 3 (you can also try this guide, should work for Ubuntu, too: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-debian-lenny-ispconfig3 )

Thanks Falko for pointing me in the right direction.

I am attempting to use the Debian guide on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, but when I get to step 11, I get the error "E: Couldn't find package apache2-suexec"

Is there an alternate package that I may use?

I have been using ISPConfig 2 with SuPHP from the Perfect Server Guide for months, but want to try ISPConfig 3.

    Thank you in advance!

SuExec is in the normal apache2 package on Ubuntu 8.04.
