I am trying to setup an email server, have gone through the perfect setup for suse 10.2. I am able to send email from the server successfully, but am unable to connect from any of the client machines. I get an error saying "unable to connect to server"? I am a newbie to this so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Also, I can putty into the server from any client machine. And can telnet into port 25 successfully. -Mark

It sounds like a DNS MX record problem. Did you try the server IP as POP3/SMTP settings? If this does work, it's a MX record problem. You can see if you DNS is setup correct @ http://www.dnsreport.com/ Enter the domainname in the DNS Report box, and see if all is setup okay.
