Hello, I've been trying to download ubuntu portable, but I keep getting a network tcp error as if the server isn't available. I've tried across multiple networks, multiple computers, & multiple browsers. It's the ubuntu portable package & the link is: http://portableubuntu.sourceforge.net/index.php?section=download The error: "The Web Server returned a 503 code and may be down..." So it appears there's a server issue. Any thoughts? Thanks, ~roystreet
Do you know if there's anything like that out there? It's a really good idea. I was preferring not to use "Live CD" concept, but this one seemed better for my need...And it was just a good idea Any ideas?? Thanks
You can create an Ubuntu USB stick (see http://www.howtoforge.com/installing-ubuntu-8.10-on-your-usb-flash-drive ), if you want to carry Ubuntu with you. OR you install VirtualBox and create a virtual Ubuntu machine.
