Hi, I have a problem with webmail IMAP access. After installation of ISPConfig 2, the webmail package is first installed and then roundcube package is installed. It is found that when user can access the mail thru IMAP, it will download(sync) mails and folders from roundcube. However, since users complain something about the roundcube, we have to remove the roundcube. What we have done is : rm -r /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/web/roundcubemail rm /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/web/roundcubemail.tar.gz rm -r /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/web/tools/tools/roundcubemail After that we ask users to use webmail instead. The problem is that when user use IMAP, it cannot download(sync) mails and folders from the webmail. (POP is fine, but IMAP is not working) Have we missed something in the uninstallation of roundcube ? Thanks in advance.
The webmail program does not use imap, it uses pop3 and donwloads the emails to its own storage. So the uebimiau webmail program can never sync with an imap server.
Thanks Till... now I understand Since IMAP is not supported, will there be any ways to download those mails from the webmail program "sent items folders" ? I ask this because I cannot find any *.eml files which are related to the "sent items" mails in the server.
As far as I know there is no way to get these messages back to imap. You might have ot write some kind of script for this. The emails are in the ispconfig temp folder in the subfolder named webmail. But I dont know the format that is used for storing them.
Thanks a million! You pointed me to the right direction to get those files. These are eml files which can be easily handled. This information help me make sure that if case any clients wish to get back those emails I can help them. Thanks a lot.
