    OK..
    I purchased a linode.
Was planning on setting it up with ISPConfig3 and Ubuntu 9.04.

While I was performing the install my old server started geeking really bad.
Once up... All memory and page file are sucked up and the system reboots. I am unable to open any websites. I barely have enough time to login to the console before she reboots...

    Can someone help..
I just want to stabilize her enough to migrate off the websites... and settings in the old ISPconfig2.

    Please help.

    Thanks
    Tony

Do you have physical access to your old server, so that you can start it from a linux boot CD?

Can you log in quick enough to disable some services?

The server is a VSP from slicehost.

What services should I turn off?

I'd disable everything but ssh ... you don't want *anything* eating your few precious resources...
