    Hi.
I would like to update a multiserver setup from 3.0.5 to 3.1.
There are 3 Slaves and one Master server.
Some questions before start the update:
    1. Should I install the missing services as Lets Encrypt first? If yes, should I install them in all servers or just the master?
    2. Should I update the slaves first and after that the master?
    3. What should I choose in:
    • Reconfigure Permissions in master database?
    • Reconfigure Services?
    • Reconfigure Crontab?

    Kind Regards

You need LE on all web servers, if you have multiple.

I'd recommend to put the master ISPConfig into maintenance mode, then stop the ISPConfig cron jobs on the slaves, update the master ISPConfig and then all slave ISPConfig.

As this update is a really big one you need to do all of those or you will definitively run into trouble. Make sure you have saved all custom modifications and (important!) check if you use the conf-custom folder for config files and compare them to the ones from the 3.1 package to avoid usage of outdated config directives etc.

    Thank you for your time

Should I install only Lets encrypt or any other service as well?
    eg. HHVM

I haven't done any ISPConfig modifications.
    Where is conf-custom folder located?

Depends on what you want to use, of course. I think HHVM is no longer of any use now that PHP 7 is out.

    /usr/local/ispconfig/server/conf-custom
But if you have not put something in there, it does not matter.
