Ok I have never updated a linux type OS before, is there a way to upgrade the installation from 10.0 to 10.1. AND Is it really worth it does anyone know of any real improvements, I am a bit concerned about updateing because the current install is fine with no bugs/crashes... so I am thinking that upgrading the OS could cause more problems than its worth...... has anyone got a opinion on this. Thanks
I recommend to not upgrade if there is not a function in SUSE 10.1 that you definetly need. My personal experience is that you will either loose data or have to reconfigure parts of the server when you update. ... never touch a running system ... I had these problems especially with SUSE. With DEBIAN i had only small problems as i updated a system from 3.0 to 3.1.
Would agree, I have had a quick look at the added features and i dont think there is anything that I need.... the system I have is running fine and is stable so not upgrade (except for new releases of ISPC ) Thanks
