Hi, In the email concerning the update to 2.2.0 is says to install the update using the command '../setup'. Is this a typo? Should it be './setup'? Using the first option gives me a file not found error. Before I wipe out everything and have to spend the rest of the day recovering from backups I want to make sure I am doing the right thing. Also, I downloaded and unpacked the update into the 'root' directory. Is this OK or shoud it be in another directory before unpacking and installing? Brian
Yes, it must be Code: ./setup /root is ok, although I'd always use the /tmp directory (out of habit).
I ran the installer and when I got to the section configuring CA and SERVER certificates I put in a password. I remember during the initial installation of ISPConfig that I was advised to not enter a password at that time. By putting one in now did it cause the failure of the install. Below is the output from entering the password to the end of the script. It appears I can no longer connect to my server. Any suggstions? If you chose to encyrpt the SSL key, ISPConfig is unable to start when you boot your server. Before you run the update again, please restore the ISPConfig backup tar.gz files in your /tmp folder by copying them to / and unpack them with tar xfz filename.tar.gz.

If I do a new install of ISPConfig will I lose all the websites that are currently running? I have a backup of the webs on another machine. Can I restore them into a clean install of ISPConfig? Thanks... Brian
Does your ISPConfig MySQL database still exist? You should make an SQL dump of it now. If you have that SQL dump (only then!), I'd try to make a clean ISPConfig installation and replace the new ISPConfig database with that from the SQL dump afterwards.
Thank you for the info...could you please give me a link describing the exact steps necessary to do that. Brian
The installation was OK...but when I tried to access ISPConfig I got an Error Code: -8182 Invalid or corrupt certificate. Brian
The certificate seems to be corrupt. Create a new one as described here: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121
Have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/faq/6_3_en.html http://www.howtoforge.com/faq/6_4_en.html You can also do it with phpMyAdmin.
Hi Falko, Thank you very much for your help. Everything seems to be OK. I did not have to rebuild the sql database as everything was still there when I logged on to the system. I was surprised that I did not even have to reset the password...it recognized the password I originally set. Thanks again... Brian
