Can you be specific i.e. from which version to which version? One of the latest: https://www.howtoforge.com/update-the-ispconfig-perfect-server-from-ubuntu-20-04-to-ubuntu-22-04/ In general, after making full working backup, (1) update ISPConfig, (2) upgrade ubuntu, (3) check ubuntu latest tutorial (or debian if none exist for ubuntu) to fix all apps / services installation, (some might be deprecated like mailman), finally force update ispconfig reconfiguring all services. Note that old install might be using apt certbot, though some still prefer this, IMHO it is best to remove that and install certbot via snap as suggested by the official site.
