I was wondering , should I update my Linux Box as the updates become available? In other words, if I run the X Window and it shows me that there are XX number of updates, should I just go ahead and install them? What do you all do?
Normally updating is no problem (unless you have changed the list of repositories used by your system).
Typically you should run updates, for the most part they either A, Plug some sort of Security hole (Think open SSL) or B, Ad some sort of functionality to the system.
