Updating problem debian mysql root password

    Operating System: Debian Lenny/Sid or compatible

    This application will update ISPConfig 3 on your server.
    MySQL root password []:
    mysqldump: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using pas sword: NO) when trying to connect

    I don't remember chaging anything

    Should I remove the password of mysql for root?

    How can I friendly fix this.
