Hi, I'm setting up a Ubuntu 12.10 Server. Installation went fine, but when trying to "update" it using the "apt-get update" command, I'm getting all kinds of errors. How can this be? Is it because it's a 12.10 version and it's no longer supported? One of the other 12.10 Servers suggested me to update to 13.10, but this is not good for me, because this is a pretty special system, which I've only just got to work. And I'm following my ToDo to the letter, to avoid any further problems. But, it's the update I can't do, and installation of programs/packages e.g. vim-nox, putty, etc. Tried to do an update from 2 other 12.10 servers and it's exactly the same!?!? Hi, Thanks again... Checked http://mirrors.digitalocean.com/ubuntu-old/dists/quantal-updates/multiverse/binary-amd64/ but I'm not that sharp at Linux, so I don't know exactly what to do. I guess I'll have to change the path/url's in /etc/apt/sources.list to use this place instead or something like that. Never mind. I'll do it the hard way and go back to 12.04 . The reason I changed to 12.10 was because of a "bug" that appeared in the 12.04.4 update. CUDA5.5 .deb package didn't work after this update. Therefore I had to find a solution. This I used weeks to solve and now 12.10 is not active any more Well, back to 12.04 and start again Thanks for the help..
