Upgrade from 2.2.29/2.2.27 to current 2.2.37

    Hi,

    Could i upgrade my two boxes (sles10sp2) with ISPConfig 2.2.29 and 2.2.27 directly to 2.2.37 version?

    Yes, that should be no problem. You should first check if any packages has to be installed, for the detaild info see release notes:

    And if the perfect server guide for your operating system version contains some instructions to edit the stdio.h file, then make sure that you have edited the file before you update or the apache compilation may fail.

    Before you update, always make a backup of the directories /root/ispconfig and /home/admispconfig and the ispconfig mysql database so you can switch back if a update fails.

    Upgrade and tests on virtual machine completed:)

    Do you plan to release new ISPConfig version soon?
    If yes, than i'll wait some time and upgrade to the new version.

    I dont expect a new ispconfig 2 release soon as there are no major problems known in the current version.

    But what about new features? Are they implemented only for v3?
    Moving to v3 my 3 servers scares me really a lot;)

    ISPConfig 2 will get maintenace releases and bugfixes. New features get implemented in ISPConfig 3.

    Thanks for the info.
    BTW i'm really amazed with v3. Hope to get this year new Xen/Hyper-V server and ability to migrate:)
