   Do i need to stop all the servers running (postfix,proftpd etc), including ispconfig, before i upgrade? I have followed "The Perfect Setup - SuSE 10.1 (32-bit)".

   No, you dont have to stop any servers before you upgrade. The ISPConfig installer stops ISPConfig automatically during the update.
