Hi. I was trying to upgrade ispconfig and the installer gave me this error:

ERROR: The PHP binary coming with ISPConfig does not work properly on your system! The installation routine stops here!

Sorry for not having more information. Is there a log somewhere?

I've tryed to find help here but i'm not installing. I'm upgrading. What can i do so i don't loose my sites?

    TIA

It seems that the ispconfig directory in /root has been deleted. Is this correct? Is there a way that i can install ispconfig again without losing my sites?

This is part of the log of the upgrade. There's no way I can have this back working but, I hope you could help me out with the error. I saw in other thread that i can try to make an install on another server with the same distro and copy a few things. Is this right?

Plz help! Just need a quick reply. There's no other way? If i install everything and then restore a copy of the actual db, will it keep my sites?

Don't you have any backups of that folder?

I would do a backup of the ispconfig DB, reinstall ispconfig, flush the ispconfig db and reinstall the backup you made... normally you should not lose anything, but I won't give you a guarantee on that anyway.
So you should also make a backup of the homedirs and the apache configs to keep that running in case of the admininterface won't "come back".

No backup. Shame on me.... I'll try to do a fresh install and then restore the db. thanks anyway.

There should be backups of /root/ispconfig, /home/admispconfig, and a dump of the ISPConfig database in /tmp. These backups are created by the ISPConfig installer before it tries to upgrade the installation.
