    Hi,

I want to upgrade ispconfig from 3.0.4.6 to 3.0.5.4p1.

I have done some custom configurations to my dovecot and postfix. I understand it is possible to upgrade without changing the configurations. What I need to know is, what would be the implications about upgrading without letting the upgrade script change the configuration?

Is it possible to change the configuration by hand? If so, where can I find the important changes that need to be done on the configurations?

It might be that new functions are not working.

You can do that off course. The config file templates are in the install/tpl/ folder of the tar.gz. But in most cases it would be easier to make a backup of your modified config files, then let ispconfig reconfigure the services and compare your files with the new ones from ispconfig e.g. ith a diff tool.

Ok. Any clue which are the new functions that might not work?

I will check it out. Will take the advice too. To help me with the config changes, it would be a great help to know which new functions that might not work so that I can look into it.

Thats not easy to say as so many things as have been changed. Most likely are problems in websites and email account authentication. DNS should not cause any problems.
