Hello everybody I have debian etch 4 on my server, and need to go to bigger hard drive so the one debian on now is (40GB) and the big one is (80GB), i tried ghost 4 linux , then i select copy drive and it did copy the drive to the bigger one, but 2 things happen: 1- error on the startup of the big one : "Duplicated volume ID" 2- it wasted the rest of the drive space, used 35GB like the rest is not valid, it shows when i checked there is 38GB unmounted and unformated the problem also that it made it 2 partions. Is there a better way of doing this operation ? Thanks in advance for help

Thanks to both of you hello again thanks to both of you for your reply. I did last night use ghost for linux and it took long time to copy,but i didn't like the result: first it copys 35GB the hole drive and all i have data is 4GB also after it is done i start the new drive and got this : Missing operating system ! I coppied hda1 to hdb1 which is the main ? Thanks again
Ghost4Linux creates an image of your installation; you can't start this image. You must first restore it to a HDD, and then you can start it from that HDD.
