Used Auto Install Script On AWS Linux - Unable to send email Outside Server

  1. Hi All,

    Installed it using the install script.....on AWS Linux....I can get emails, send them internally...on any domain on it.....but not to ANY externally hosted domains.....

    can any one help?

    That's how AWS is, they don't allow you to send emails directly. So no issue with your installation or ISPConfig here. You must either use an external relay server or even better, go to a company with your server or VM that allows you to send emails if you want to run an email server.

    Besides that, AWS Linux is not supported, so you will most likely get additional problems using it, use Debian or Ubuntu.

    not tried ispconfig on aws linux. but ec2 instance running ubuntu/debian will run ispconfig fine.
    aws linux may or may not require some changes.

    even running ubuntu on ec2 instances, requires a bit more fiddling around to get quota's working.

    but specifically for the email sending. as @till states, aws blocks port 25 outbound by default.
    you need to request them to remove this restriction, and to create a ptr record for the instance, using this form:
