First, sorry for my english I dont know if this is a problem of my mail server configuration or no. I just install ispconfig in my server. I created a user in a domain (domain.com) called julius. when I use outlook for check email i had to put in user log in only "julius". How can i change the way to login to [email protected] instead only julius. note: when i am creating a new user i cant put [email protected], a msg appears: Field: Username The user name has to contain a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 32 letters or figures and has to begin with a letter. I use postfix for email server. thanks a lot for read this. I know is very difucult explain me
You cannot use email addresses as usernames in ISPConfig 2. ISPConfig 2 configures system users, and Linux doesn't allow "@" in usernames.
But, the promem is when a log into squirremail, Its probably there are two or more users with the same same in diferents domains. How I can To distinguish them. Thanks a lot for response.
That'S why ISPConfig 2 is using username prefixes by default: http://www.howtoforge.com/faq/14_47_en.html
