    Greetings,

I have searched the forums for a solution, but have been unable to track anything down.

For security, I would like to utilize my primary and secondary DNS servers as DNS for my separate ISPConfig server. Is there a way to point ISPConfig to write to the zone files in my nameservers?

I have thought I could write a script to copy over the deltas to the zone files, but I'm hoping there is an easier and cleaner way to have ISPConfig actually use my current nameservers for DNS.

Using Ubuntu Server 8.04. Install is complete and functioning perfectly.

    Thanks in advance,

    Brian

ISPConfig can write the named files to any directory in the filesystem, you can set this directory under management > server > settings. If you use e.g. a directory from the dns server which you mount via NFS on the ispconfig server, it should work. Just make sure that the directory is world readable or at least readable for the user admispconfig.
