Hi, i have setup samba as a file server, is it possible to specify the share on the server based on the mac id/hardware address of the client if yes how ?
the only thign I found with a short google is to restrict user accounts on MAC lists (e.g. http://wiki.phpaction.de/index.php/Linux:Samba-logins-bind-to-mac-address) But why do you want to do sth. like that? Maybe you can take a look at swat, a webservice for configuring samba. But make sure that it is only reachable from your machine and just run it if you really need it for configuration. MAybe you can find out there if sth. you wish is possible.
