    Hello,

    just noticed this error message
cannot update mailbox /var/mail/web72 for user web72.
destination /var/mail/web72 is not owned by recipient

It is a internal cli email from softacoulos
but ialso i see more webxx files in thet directory holding emails.
    Why is that.
All mailboxes are in /var/vmail not in /var/mail
    And how to fix :)

Mail in /var/mail/ is email that is sent to a linux system user like web32 e.g. from a cronjob while /var/vmail contains the mailboxes that you manage in ispconfig.

Normally yo wont get any real mail there, just system messages that one might look at when something is not working. When you want to redirect a message from a system user to a mail account then you can do that in /etc/aliases and run the newaliases command afterward.
