    Hello,
I have ISPC3 server with wordpress Website.

    I try to improve caching
I read several thread from howtoforge including this one : https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/isp-apache2-and-varnish.81247/#post-384900
    I found https://snapshooter.com/learn/linux/install-varnish-cache-with-ssl

I very well understood that nginx is better, but, I know nothing about ngnix, so I would like to avoid that solution...

My conclusion with Varnish, is that it is feasible with SSL using apache2 at port 443 with settings:
    ProxyPass / https://127.0.0.1:varnishport/
    ProxyPassReverse / https://127.0.0.1:varnishport/

I wonder if it has an interest as Apache is quite slow to answer and I see all requests going through Apache..
    Am I correct ?
Should I expect an improvement with such a configuration compared to a caching such as W3TC ?

Well, nginx and apache2 are supported by ISPConfig but vanish is not but the latter can always work by itself with or without ISPConfig.

You may be should look into changing port for apache2 if reverse proxy is how you intend to achieve what you want.

In my personal view, there is a lot of similarities between nginx and vanish that make it easier for you to learn the former, but that is really up to you.
