Hello again the newbie is back for more... I have started over from scratch about 7 times now (learning more and more as I go) I am using: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_ubuntu704 I am NOW on step 13: Postfix with SMTP-AUTH and TLS I have followed all of the steps to the end. where it says: "telnet localhost 25" ehlo localhost "If you see the lines: 250-STARTTLS and: 250-AUTH PLAIN LOGIN so on so on.... I did that and my telnet session looks EXACTLY like his there in the help EXCEPT I do NOT have: 250-AUTH PLAIN LOGIN 250-AUTH=PLAIN LOGIN everything else is the same.. do I need this? if yes how do I fix it. if no is it ok to continue on to 14? Thank you
