Hello! I mean that this tuorial is a very good guide to create a own video communiity.http://www.howtoforge.com/video_streaming_lighttpd_flowplayer_p3 . I have an Ubuntu server running apache2 and ISPconfig control pannel. I saw the tutorial assumes the Lighthttpd webserver for default, but i want configure it under the same apache2 on my websites. Is there a particular reason for which this tutorial uses lighttpd, or could it be used easely under the apache2 of websites? Thanks so much. Josef.
Yes, because lighttpd has the mod_flv_streaming module which supports streaming large flv files, and FLowPlayer has support for this module. There is no such thing in Apache, and you'd have to do this through PHP: http://www.flashcomguru.com/index.cfm/2005/11/2/Streaming-flv-video-via-PHP-take-two
