    This question has probably been asked before. But I can't find a proper answer on the internet.

    I am pretty much a Linux noob. I dabbled with it in the past, set up an email server and web server in the past.

    We purchased a VPS, and I am trying to get an email server up and running.
    I followed the Virtual Users And Domains With Postfix, Courier, MySQL And SquirrelMail (Debian Lenny) how to, twice.

    I just can't get the system to make a email directory in /home/vmail, when I send an email using mailx.

    When I look in the /var/log/mail.log file, I see that imapd can't log in.
    mapd: LOGIN FAILED, user=info@*******.io, ip=[::ffff:...

    I added the email to my iPhone and Apple Mail, It gives the error that the user name or password is wrong.

    What am I doing wrong? How do I fix this? Can I perhaps make the folder manual?
    Please remember, I'm pretty much a Linux noob, I know a little.

    Are there any errors in your mail log (in the /var/log/ directory)?
