Followed the howto at http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual-u...-courier-mysql-and-squirrelmail-debian-wheezy Starting to get some spam, and after checking headers there is no spam score reference like I've seen other filters implement. Since this is using amavis and not spamassassin directly, where should I start looking for the cause (and solution)
watch your mail log (/var/log/mail.log) to see if amavisd-new is working properly. amavisd-new will log whenever it finds a spam or virus email. When you (re)start amavisd-new it should also log that it loads its spam and virus scanning code
